History
In 1988 Jane was employed as a Heritage Officer at Monmouth Borough Council. After completion of her RIBA Part II Architectural studies Jane embarked on her career as an Architect at Kirklees M.C. She was in charge of a team that also undertook Disabled Facilities Grants, assisted in writing their corporate Access Standards, acted as Access Officer and specialised in residential and education.
Her career progressed to become an Access Consultant at Buro Happold and was involved in many projects, including the Scottish Parliament, Emirates Stadium, the Millennium Dome, as well augmenting her expertise in inclusive education projects.
In 2003 Jane was approached by Aedas to launch their access consultancy service before establishing Jane Simpson Access in 2007. In the following years Jane has assembled a team of professional Associates to complement this specialist consultancy and maintain client expectations.
