Slough Schools

The PFI process is one where tight timescales can, at times, lead to unsuccessful designs. Slough Schools consists of Arbour Vale Special School, Beechwood School and William Penn School.

In addition to the provision currently available there will also be a residential unit in the school grounds to accommodate up to 12 children with autism with term time education.

Inclusion was high on the agenda throughout the process considering the finest detail to achieve an inclusive community for all. The whole team in particular ACP architects and the contractor Wates sought to find solutions for flexible and sustainable schools for the 21st century.
