Hotels can vary in size, scale and complexity, from budget hotels through to large complex multi-use buildings, often with 24 hour access. All hotels are covered under the goods and services obligations of the Equality Act (EA) as will be all activities held within them. Activities, in addition to the accommodation, could include conferences, weddings, bars, exhibitions, etc. For each of these activities there will be a sequential journey; to arrive, to enter, to accommodate and egress. Inclusive management procedures, such as booking and evacuation, will be crucial to meeting the demands of the EA.
