Governmental and Professional Organisations

Since 1999 Jane has been a member of and regular attendee at the National Access Association representing them on the DPTAC Education and Training Group from 2002 – 2007.

She is a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects since 2001, a regional Council Member, former School Client Forum member, represents them on the BSI BS8300 review and is their Specialist Practice Advisor on Access, which involves ad hoc meetings to other organisations; providing free advice to members and is a member of the Inclusion Policy Steering Group.

2002-2007 Jane represented the Access Association on the DPTAC’s Education and Training group. In 2005 she became a Member of the Inclusive Environment Group at CABE after its transfer from DPTAC attending meetings and provides ongoing advice as and when requested. Jane is the link member to the Educations and Campaigns arm of CABE.

From 2005 she has represented the RIBA on the British Standards Institute, BS8300 review group.
